Insights and Answers from Unexpected Places

Sometimes, insights and answers come from unexpected places. They will come to us if we quiet the voices within that often drown out the stillness so that we can truly listen and take heed...

Welcome insights and answers can come to us in messages we receive from friends - in an email, or a call, or a Facebook post, or simply through our observation and appreciation of the wild life all around us - or the beauty in flowers and vegetation.

For the last several weeks on my walks, I have been invariably visited by exuberant robins manifesting out of heavy canopies of draping branches that then proceed to "walk"  on the path, right in front of me. They gayly hop a few steps forward, then slyly wait for me to catch up to them. I follow at a safe distance, until they decide to start hopping again. Sometimes we play out this little ritual for few minutes. So finally today, I decided to look up the meaning of robins on my favorite animal totem site:

"A Robin totem will stimulate new growth in all areas of your life.
Believe in yourself as you move forward.
Obstacles will fall by the wayside if you do
and confrontations will be for show only.
This totem gives you the ability to will new growth into your life.
Meditate on Robin and the correct path will be revealed to you."

Ah! New growth! And the correct path will be revealed! Is there ever a time in life when we arrive, so to speak, and get it all down pat? Apparently not...

When I wrote my last entry, I was marinating in a myriad of different experiences, so I prayed and asked for greater clarity in my life. For a few months now, I have been praying daily for a clean heart, body, mind and spirit, to be created within me. I ask that I be shown greater clarity in all things, so that I may see as the Divine would have me see. As a result, insights and answers have been granted and received in a number of ways. Some of them arrived recently in my inbox, while others were posted to Facebook. You never know what is going to speak to someone. This is the real gift of social media...The messages meant for me arrived in perfect moments in ways that I can not explain.

And so, I share with you these beautiful quotes that brought light into my life and peace to my heart!

"The greater your embodiment of joy, Love and abundance, the greater your field of resonance. First you affect those lives closest to you, your family and closest friends, your spirit family and the immediate area around you. All will change to the resonance of the strongest magnetic field. "
~ Circle of Light 7-8-13

"In every way you can, be that which you are desiring to be, so that vibrationally it must begin to surround you. You are not going to open your eyes into that reality in an instant. You will however open your eyes one day and realize you are living exactly that which you intended on this day. The greater your consistency the greater your effect will be."
~ The Twelve

"Never lose hope
when the Beloved
sends you away.
If you’re abandoned
if you’re left hopeless
tomorrow for sure
you’ll be called again.
If the door is shut
right in your face
keep waiting with patience
don’t leave right away.
Seeing your patience
your love will soon
summon you with grace
raise you like a champion."
~ Rumi

"You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting over and over announcing your place in the family of things."
~ Mary Oliver

"There is no end to your consciousness:
all things are glittering like stars
in the firmament of your being."
~ Yogananda

And so it is...
