Aligning with Grace

"We do not see the world as it is,  we see it as we are." This sacred insight, or something similar to it, has been attributed to several sources, including the Talmud. I cannot verify its origins offhand without delving into some research. But it's source is not pertinent - the essence and reality of its message, is. Earlier this week, I reflected on a recent conversation I had had, during my walk. It was evident that my friend and I saw a series of events quite differently. I asked my Guides on the Other Side to help enlighten me. How was it possible that I could be so wrong? In the quiet stillness of an early morning, the answer came, gently, but clearly... "We do not see the world as it is, we see it as we are." Yes. True. I knew that. But there must be more to it all... Then the Thoughts and Words continued... "We see through different glasses..." How so? "Think of your eyesight and how it has changed over the years. ...

Sometimes the Universe tries to send you a message, and sometimes you get it, or you don't. If you don't, the Universe just sends it again! On June 11th, which fell on Monday earlier this week, I was working on my iPad. I went to check my email and I noticed there were 11 new emails in my in box after I had cleared out about 30 of them. Then, I casually glanced at the time... It was 11:11 am. Hmm. Well. "That was interesting!" I thought to myself. Over the years I have often seen this sequence of numbers. Then on Wednesday, I casually noticed 11 new emails in my in box once again. I happened to glance at the time, and there it was: 11:11 am! Okay. NOW the Universe REALLY had my attention! This combination of number can mean a lot of things. It can be a message from your guides - from your angels - from loved ones that have passed on. Its their way of tapping you on the shoulder, squeezing you in a hug, and letting you know that you are not alon...

I walk briskly on this crisp fall morning, with leaves falling all about and with many thoughts in my head and heart as well, and I am surprised to be pointed in a different direction today. I arrive at a beautiful pond, and sit at the bench all by myself, with only mallard ducks and geese in the water to accompany me... It is easy, at a tumultuous time like this to get caught up in all the drama. And I receive a message for that as I sit quietly in the stillness and silence, punctuated only by an occasional flapping of wings... "Shine your Light! And let go of the drama!" I feel saddened by how empty everything feels - and how small my world is becoming, and another message is given for that as well... "You are never alone! You are supported in ways Seen and Unseen, close to you as your very own heart! Place your hands over your heart. Feel the warmth that arises. The comfort. The LOVE! Your angels and guides and loved ones, passed on, ...

The last few months have been stressful and fraught with all sorts of tensions and drama. I suspect many can say that it has been the same for them. I have always been interested in numerology, and I often see numerical patterns or sequences such as 11:11 or 12:12, 2:22, and so forth. Each one of these sequences has a unique meaning.  But we also have special combinations of numbers that speak only to us, and that only we see and recognize.  Mine is 10:17.  Often, throughout the course of the day, I might see different sequences several times. In fact, recently I wrote about seeing 11:11 on my dashboard as I was stopped at a red light. And lately, I am seeing patterns constantly, because I have definitely needed more reassurance than most times. So why are numbers important?  They are a reminder that we are not alone.
